The Three-Minute Push-Up Challenge

Are you up for the challenge? The Three-Minute Push-up Challenge that is! We aren’t going to lie, this challenge will push your upper body hard, but when you complete the challenge you will be rewarded with the title of “Push-up Master!” (You’ll have to create your own certificate of course)

What does this challenge entail? Four different types of push-ups for 30 seconds each, ten seconds of rest in between, ending with a 20-second chest stretch. Here’s the breakdown:

1) Push-ups (regular) – 30 seconds
Rest – 10 seconds
2) Diamond Push-ups – 30 seconds
Rest – 10 seconds
3) Leg Lift Push-ups – 30 seconds
Rest – 10 seconds
4) Spider-man Push-ups – 30 seconds
Rest – 10 seconds
End with a 20 second chest stretch by putting your hands behind your head and gently pulling your elbows back to stretch the chest.

For most people, it will probably take some time to build up to being able to complete the full challenge. Do what you can, even go to knee push-ups if needed, and continue to build up your upper body strength and endurance until you can complete the three minutes straight.
